"Kansas Is Strictly Flyover"

Bow-Wow as The Freak of the Week? Come git some!

Ya gotta appreciate the elevated Freak of the Weekism that The Zoners represent. While they never really worried about what kinds of abilities they gave meteor freaks, some of the choices were kind of nonsensical. Now, with aliens booted to The Phantom Zone by Jor-El, the writers can just say 'aliens, right? Weird shit.'.

Jimmy's got some bold moves. Stupid moves, but bold nonetheless, and he plants himself directly in from of Lex as a complete dummy. Unsurprising, given Jimmy's zealousness to prove he's a big boy, but here's the thing: he should've taken Chloe's warnings.

No one listens to ANYONE'S warnings on this show. 'Hey, stay awake from X, they're totally dangerous' is usually met with 'oh YEAH, well I know what I'm DOING!'. Not only did he put himself in jeopardy, he outed Lana. Not that anything's really going to happen there, but there is no way in HELL Lana's playing Lex's game on his level.

The writers did a smart thing in how they set Clark up to get his frosty northern digs back in action, but a super-uncool one in how things shook out with Raya. NOT COOL, guys!

Overall, a pretty decent episode with some smart storytelling and a pretty clean wrap-up!
