Is my avoidant coming back around?

Hi everyone. I posted in here a couple weeks ago about how my bf broke up with me and then distanced himself… the reason for the breakup was a “dealbreaker” for him at the time, and then some new info came up which I shared with him which quite possibly could’ve changed his mind or at least given him plausible reason to reconsider.

Nearly 4 weeks later (mind you, he still has been responding to some things I send but with like 1 sentence and not replying every time.) I sure miss him, and something came up in my life with my daughter, which I used to tell him when her and I would not see eye-eye, and he was always there for me to offer support in those times. Well, the other day another situation came up, but it was so hard because I couldn’t talk to him about it.

I messaged him saying “I am really missing you today. You get to go home soon, I’m happy for you, I’m sure you’re excited. Anyways… yeah just missing your presence in my life.” (He works in a cruise ship and his contract finally ended which he has been looking forward to for some time). To my surprise, he responded with a 1.5 min voice memo telling me his flight itinerary home, and what his last few days on the ship would look like. He asked how I am doing and if everything is good with me.

We messaged back and forth for a couple of days. He even told me to “sleep tight” when I sent him a pic of me in bed, after he sent me a video selfie of him at the airport. He just got home to his country like 12 hours ago.. I have not heard from him, but I didn’t really expect to right away since we are not in a relationship.

My question is do you guys think, from what I’ve told you, that he is reconsidering our relationship?
