Can Rocky "see"/sense images on screens?

I know he senses his environment by echolocation. When he first boards the Hail Mary in the film, he says "This room boring" in the room with all the TV screens, which made sense to me because the images are on smooth, flat screens. Later, when Grace and Rocky are celebrating their success (and in other scnes), he seems to react to what is happening on the screens. I guess he's reacting to just the sounds?
