What are the benefits of using Scrivener?

I’m curious, what do you think makes Scrivener a better choice than using Apple Pages and Apple Notes together? I often jot down quick notes and do some research in Notes, and then I can bring them over to Pages to put together my manuscript with the Sections tool. Pages seem to handle long manuscripts just fine without slowing down. What are your thoughts?
