Which field would be better, Tech/data or medical?

So recently started back to college after a long stint away, just community college. And going into the pre-reqs for Nuclear Medicine Technologist, but having seconds thoughts and debating switching to the Software Development because of the slight more interest in tech and potential to WFH. Was wondering if people had insight to either or some words of wisdom.
