The critic and solution on the problem of patriarchy within niche novel culture.

I have this criticism that I had thought about for quite sometimes. For a long time, female directed novels and smuts that are mostly made in East asian countries (not saying that other regions don't have it, but because I only have experience with the ditto) often feature a what I would call a different version of patriarchy. The patriarchy in question here is expressed through the male lead and male coleads in romance novels, with these typical traits: bourgeoisie or noble, amassing power into personal hand and the mindset of cultivaitng the already existing societal structure in said novels; but all directed to the well being of female lead or male lead if this is a boylove genre (in all type of fashion, from destructive and obsessive type to calm and collected type).

Now, here's the thing: this figure of male is the intepretation of the gender that is oppressed under current patriarchy system; however, an intepretation that doesn't offer feminism and emancipation but instead a argubly more sisnister form of cultivation to the already existing patriarchy. but first, let's talk about the textbook definition of patriarchy male figure: bourgeoisie, loyal to the status quo, bourgeois individualism that doesn't challenge the status quo, Kantian liberal ethic code and doesn't consider women to be equal as them. Now we can see the similarities and differences: both are bourgeois and uphold status quo, yet the traditional ones must look down on women, while the other also look down on women but instead as 2nd citizen like first ones, the intepreted version see women as the only prize of life. Or in the other word, women in traditional patriarchy is just mere commodities of lower values than their male counterpart, while the intepreted version is the most prized commodity in a guy or multiple guy's lifes.

And so a question to be made: why does this even happen ? We had feminism since the dawn of the prototype version of soicalism, yet in modern day you could still find novel and smuts (especially on internet) that basically glorify capitalism, feudalism, but with the main benefactor change from traditional male to female lead. So I coined this as another symptom that makes up the total sums of the false consiousness, but not as merely a cultural phenomenon nor some psychic manipulation, no not at all. Lenin had put it this way: when the masses aren't get introduced to theory of revolution externally, all they could think of is winning or reforming the already existing system. And these type of novels and smuts fall into the first category, that is, to win within the boundary of this total sum game of capitalism, and before that, feudalism (as these type of novels and smuts as far as I know started from western hemisphere since the enlightened era). And I must stress here, this isn't simply a manipulative or very convincing rhetoric being put inside the mind of the masses, this is a physical, concrete, inherently economical, political as well as institutionally and even religiously system of hegemon. With the ones based on real subtance of reality having decisive power, which include the very capitalism system, the State and its organized violence power, all to uphold the private owning relation of property. The institutional, educational and religious system are extended hands that were built upon the dittos, to constantly bombard the social mind of the masses without having to spend more costly resources on the dittos (violently suppressing a revolution is more costly than educate the masses into submission). But mind you, this situation isn't simply a 1 way relation, where the masses just simply get brainwashed into giving their consent, that's another talking point of liberal feminists. No, but they are total sums of both giving consent and resistance in futile among individuals, all disconnected or in small scale.

This means that, female readers in majority and queer readers in lesser extent can acknowledge the hidden patriarchy, instead of some misconception that they couldn't and simply consume the contents mindlessly. But no matter if they feeling sastisfied or feeling displeased when reading these type of novels and smuts, they all cannot affect meaningfully the whole subculture revolves around it, they cannot just simply drop the habit of reading them too.

This presentation might seems bleak but it's not that at all. To be clear, you cannot win concretely for your actual benefits if you play the game of capitalism. You need to destroy it, and replace with societal relations of yours and same minded, same class realation people. To do so, one among the masses must be introduced externally the theory of revolution.
