Do people actually think that the World Cup is rigged for Argentina/Messi?

Ill be honest, I cant differentiate who's being serious and who's not when they say it because it all feels like a big joke. Like are there actual serious arguments as to why rigging this tournament for Messi would benefit anyone?

I feel like it would make more sense if they rigged it for someone like Ronaldo whos way more popular than Messi and would make FIFA much more money.

Ive seen some pure conspiracy bs like "Its because of Israel" as well because Messi once visited Jerusalem or something. This one is probably just a joke but who knows whos being serious or not. I feel like the "higher ups" dont care much about rigging some sports game but thats just me.
