Why can't I finger myself?

16F, have been trying to finger myself for a while but maybe I don't know how to. I have clitoral orgasms often but whenever I put a finger inside, it's sort of uncomfortable, I never really put my finger too deep up until today, my entire middle finger went in however I didn't feel anything and I guess I could reach further in but my finger wasn't long enough. I didn't feel anything pleasurable. I tried putting in and out 2-3 times but still nothing.
