MacBooks in CoE

I’ve had a windows laptop for over five years now and it’s getting slow and the battery life is horrendous. I already have a powerful windows pc that can run anything I need it to run, and I was thinking about buying a MacBook to use for when I’m on campus and need to take notes or just do homework. Anyone who’s in the college of engineering who also has a MacBook, are there any issues that you’ve come across in terms of compatibility with certain programs or anything like that? Just want to know if I’d be fine with getting a MacBook or if I should just buy another windows laptop
