Rolex owner considering GO: how good is the chronometry, really?
How good are modern Glashütte Original movements compared with Rolex from a chronometry standpoint?
Rolex publishes its Superlative Chronometer standard of ±2 sec/day after casing, while GO seems to focus more on traditional German watchmaking than marketing chronometry.
For owners who have measured both:
- What daily accuracy are you seeing?
- How consistent are GO calibers across different positions?
- Do they hold their regulation over the years?
- Does GO regulate every watch to a specific internal standard?
I'm considering my first GO after years of owning Rolex, and I'd appreciate real ownership experience rather than spec-sheet comparisons.
