[REQUEST] [STEAM] The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero (on sale, -30% off)
Hello everybody, it's been a while since my last post here, hopefully you're all doing fine and well. I've managed to get a decently stable financial footing since my last request and stuff, but it's nice to see this place is still active.
Anyway, I've come to make a request for a game from a series I'm currently playing.
What is The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero?
The game (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1668510/The\_Legend\_of\_Heroes\_Trails\_from\_Zero/) is the 4th entry of the Legend of Heroes franchise developed by Nihom Falcom in 2010, the game finally got an official release outside of Japan in 2022. The franchise is about the adventures of certain protagonists and people they meet along the way, it's a jrpg with a grid turn based combat, the unique gimmick of the franchise is turn orders that give either the player or the enemy a specific positive (in the previous game even a negative) effect that could easily turn the tide of battles, it's something that's become really interesting to me and fun. You can take advantage of the turn bonuses by using your S Breaks, during battle you get points and you can press a button to use your character's let's say ultimate that even let's them attack outside of their turn order which can be really convenient for taking advantage or "stealing" the good turn bonus from the enemy, you can also use arts (kinda like magic) which are usually stronger than basic attacks but require time to cast so it's always important to pay attention to how much delay your attacks will do so you can try to figure out whether you can take advantage of the turn bonus!
Why do I want this game?
I've discovered this franchise around a year ago, it was through some video (it was specifically the cold steel series of the franchise) and besides it being funny I really liked the design of some character and liked the combat where you can position your character and their attack hitbox to hit as many enemies as possible, it seemed really fun to me. I've decided to look it up and I discovered the Legend of Heroes franchise series and it's been really fun. I've played the first 3 games already and they have kinda changed my life and opinions on games, they are really good and fun (something that's really important to me).
As for this game specifically, it's the next one in the series I need to play and I've been looking forward to this one, it's got a couple of changes since it's previous game and the story telling seems to be different from the previous 3 games, I really liked the previous games storytelling but I'm also even more excited for something new. This game also has voice acting (although only in Japanese, which isn't bad at all) which is nice because the previous 3 games didn't have it, makes it easier to get a feeling for the characters and to feel even more invested in serious scenes.
As for why on steam and not maybe on another platform... I just really like the quality of life and service steam provides, with guides away with a single click of a button and the communities sharing tips and tricks. I'm also an achievement hunter which has been really nice and allowed me to fully express my gratitude to the game and it's a nice way of getting the most out of the games!
Why can't I afford it?
As I said in the beginning of the post, I've actually managed to get a decently stable financial footing since my last post here, and I've managed to get some games myself. But this game franchise is unfortunately known for not going on big sales (30% isn't small but considering that even older games in the series still haven't changed their sales in like 10 years, I'm unfortunately not expecting for this game to go on a bigger sale). I understand a bit where the developers or publishers are coming from but it's not really easy for everyone. As I said, I've managed to buy some games myself but I've been dealing with some unexpected bills recently and it's been harder to do so, especially in the place where I live where it has become more expensive to afford some stuff. I know I should probably have my focus somewhere else but video games have been a really nice way of taking my mind off some more serious things and it's been really fun!
Closing thoughts and steam uid:
Anyway, I'm thankful to you for reading my post a bit, if you're in a similar position like me hopefully you get better like I'm hoping it will. As for the request, if someone does decide to gift me or reach out to me, hopefully I'll be able to reply soon and not much later because of time zones, so if I'm late to reply, don't worry, I'm just probably asleep or busy.
Anyway, I'd like to say thank you for the last time too, had a lot of fun playing the last game I was gifted from here too and I'm looking forward to seeing more from this community, it's really nice and rare for what's here.
