[INDIANA] Ex employer appealed my unemployment over 30 days after I have had it - help needed
Hi guys. I've had unemployment benefits since 6/7/26. I received a letter stating that they are appealing and I will have to speak to a judge.
I provided every bit of information to the unemployment case manager - reason for termination and one write up. My ex boss provided the write up (which was not the reason for termination) and an email chain from him to an HR associate about what I had done (I said "this is fucking ridiculous" quietly to myself). I had never had any disciplinary action taken against me before this and no behavioral issues. This was personal due to many reasons (I honestly believe on being use of FMLA).
This is the official reason Indiana deemed: "The claimant was discharged. The employer has failed to provide sufficient information to establish the discharge was the result of willful misconduct."
tWhat do I do? I don't really understand what I am supposed to do, except reiterate what happened and reiterate that I was told he did not provide anything to them.
