To all the LGBTQ folks here!
My question is, for those who were religious (mostly muslims) before being a part of the community, what changes happened to yall's faith, did you leave the religion, did you stop practicing it, or its is just as it was?
For me, when I started liking femininity as a personality, it was quite hard to accept it, cause of my religion (Islam), but the inner voice of me took control one day, and I dressed up feminine, put on some makeup, and for the first time, I felt like myself, its hard to explain the psychological feeling I got, it was a mix of relief, self-love, admiration for myself, and but also fear, and the 'fear' was the most prominent one, 'fear' of being different, 'fear' of being rejected by family, and especially 'fear' of being rejected by religion. Later that day, I spent the whole night researching on feminine boys' situation in Islam, and I didn't get any good results, I got a lot of hate from Islamic subs where I posted some question regarding my situation. I was a bit depressed from all the hate, fear of rejection, and the confusion. Then I came to one conclusion, I will not accept hadith anymore, even though 'hadith' are a very important part of Islam, I didn't accept them, cause I had a gut feeling that the hadith weren't true, cause Islam describes the prophet as a patient soul with unbelievable empathy for other, kindness, and love. But the language used in hadith was quite brutal, using words that are a bit rude. Another reason was, that most of the LGBTQ statements in Islam are from hadith, there are also a bit from Quran, but most them are from hadith. I gave it a lot of thought, and became a 'quranist', but it wasn't any better, I got a lot of hate from my friends and people I trusted for my life, at the end I left Islam, cause if God doesn't accept you for who you are, he isn't any better from the devil, btw my fingers are hurting rn from typing 😭 , bye sweeties, stay strong and support your identities!
