Thought it was gonna be some slop Academy Harem manhwa, but it's actually not that bad.

It doesn't take itself too seriously and is pretty aware of the genre and setting itself with some references to other media.

Like Extra's Academy Survival Guide, we get a gradual progression into our MC's debilitating psyche or the trauma that is continuously being in life or death situations; Something that a lot of mc's and stories lack and act like a stepping stone rather than an experience that is more than just winning a situation. There is a lot of internal conflict as they are external; As a result of the Blessing of the Blade of God, his humanity slowly dies out and acts more of a machine focused on his goals despite caring for his people.

I'm not a fan of the sexualization of the female characters, but I can't really complain since it's also a Harem manhwa, so it's bound to happen. But the female characters at least have some genuine or reasonable interest towards our MC. So far, only Saki and Chloe have been developed and share the most interactions and time with our MC. Currently, this arc is obviously for Abel.

But what stands out a lot to me, and what I expect to see more from, is the interaction between Leon, the protagonist of the game, and the world, and Geomma, our MC.

**SPOILERS AND ANALYSIS**

>!They have had only two genuine interactions: Leon had asked for an inquiry about Geomma - "Who are you?" At first, it is a simple question, but looking deeper, he is asking about the existence of who our MC is, as if trying to figure out himself too.!<

>!Later, they get into a fight during a field test. Confusing at first, Leon's intentions are shown through a few lines towards Geomma and his thoughts; We get to understand his burdened existence as Humanity's Destined Hero. Losing to Geomma, he wishes himself that Geomma was chosen as the hero. He is an existence without agency, a person tied to fate, one who probably wished he was born ordinary. !<

Though not as great as Extra's Academy Survival Guide, The Academy's Sashimi Sword Master is decent and has the potential to become good if it keeps up this consistency.
