Low AFI at 34+5 and previous stillbirth

Hi everyone,
My wife is 34+5 weeks pregnant. Her AFI dropped to 7.6 on today’s ultrasound, down from 10 just 10 days ago.

We’re very stressed because last year we lost our baby at 37+4 weeks to an unexplained stillbirth.

Because of that history and the drop in AFI, we’re discussing scheduling a C-section at 36 weeks with our gynecologist.

I would really appreciate hearing from anyone who experienced a low or declining AFI in late pregnancy. How was your pregnancy monitored, and when did you end up delivering?

We know every case is different, but hearing others’ experiences would help us a lot right now.
