4th gen CRV reliability for long road trip
Budget is under €10k or $12k. So only fits fourth gen (2012-2017). Probably over 150k km (100k miles).
I’m buying in Germany to drive through Europe, to Turkey, and back (max. 20k miles). I picked it bc of reliability and less expensive than Toyotas. Dont have money for expensive repairs and don’t wanna be stuck in some remote area, so reliability really matters.
I’ll probably buy from a private seller and I’ll pay a mechanic to look at it too. Also will be driving it mostly on highways but unsure about road conditions and fuel quality in some areas.
So my questions:
-
Is 4th gen CRV even a good option for this?
-
What are things I need to look out for that break commonly in that generation after hitting 100k miles or even 150k?
