Arrested white spot lesion

I developed a white spot lesion 10 months ago, I didn't realise what it was and thought it was just a scratch from my retainer. It slightly fades through the day and is more obvious in the morning. My dentist told me I need to do icon treatment if I wabt it to go away. I wanted to ask if there is anything alternative that I can do? I heard that nano-hydroxyppatite is good. Would this help? Can anything else be done?
