34M - Doctor struggling to find the time to socialise
Hi all,
I am a married 34M from the UK hoping to find some good conversation to keep be socialised outside of work. I have had some great conversations with people on here (and, admittedly, lots of not-so-great or downright bizarre) so thought I’d cast a bit of a net.
Between work commitments and some degree of mental fatigue, I find it quite difficult to have the time or will to meet new people in the real world but always enjoy casual chats online.
Outside of work, I do a lot of carpentry to keep me busy - mainly furniture pieces, and in the last \~yr I’ve been learning upholstery. I listen to music every second I can, with a very eclectic taste ranging from classical to afroswing and most things in between (favourite album is meatloaf’s bat out of hell 😂), and play piano. I have a cat who ran away 4 days ago, who I got reluctantly and then fell in love with so now beside myself with worry about her! I spend a stupid amount of money on food… probably my most guilty pleasure is smoking a massive joint and then binging on delicious and unhealthy food (yeah, yeah, do as I say, not as I do…)
I am really happy to talk about anything. I’m just looking for some interesting conversation about random topics. I would rather not talk about my work as that already occupies probably 80% of my mental energy!
