I built my app for 2 months, the first MVP version release on the App Store with very poor App Store Design, to be honest i don't have an idea about ASO or how to gain user's attentions so they could download and use the app.

The zero number of download kept happening for 3 weeks, i feel down, and have thought of stopping developing mobile app, as the result is not what i imagine from beginning, No user, no nothing that is a signal of the app will have someone download and use it, and even sharing some experiences feedback while using the app. It is zero result, and it felt like I got a knock out after release the app, Sad but True!

The app is **SnapSub**: **Subscription Tracker** (you can find it on the App Store).

I registered new account on X platform, sharing the story, and still 0 impressions, that is another tap on the face, to be honest.

I don't give up, I join a developer meet up online, by chance I saw it on my social feed, and register, I made friends with some very cool guy there. And they helped me a lot, omg I feel like I am a kid, coming to school and learned from brotherhood! Must be very thankful, I understood ASO, i knew no one will download my app from App Store, if they have no interesting, and the App Store design is the first gate.

Figma is my tool from that moment, my close friend, another 3 nights, i really became a night howler, making a prototype, sharing with that group of indie friends, they gave same more feedback that i need to change everything again, I felt in the loop of change, feedback, update, feedback and change.. I wish that time we could meet in a cafe, have some weekends morning together, but this is flat world, internet connected people from everywhere, so online meeting still works, even if time could be longer.

I published new version included some notifiations that engaged users about their monthly spending report, expenses that they have over spending, subscriptions that forgetten to cancel. Indeed this version included the new enhanced App Store screenshots.

I waited for 3 days, and 10 hours, and then the email app notified the love letter from App Store, my latest version was published on the App Store.

I can not wait sharing it with all of my guys in the indie group, haha lots of laughs, lots of cheerings! I spent that night have an online party with my friends, can not forget that most happy moment!

So after 1 week from that moment, lots of new impressions on the product page, and then 1st download (haha i thought one of my friend has supported me with that, I knew), and then a 5 stars rating, for sure this is friendship!

And months after that more than 50 downloads, i feel like I am the millionaires haha, yes the app still need lots of adjustment, enhancements, i will not give up, i will continue with it, and keep hearing feedback from my loved users!

Everything has it's own 1st day, everything seems like impossible at first, don't stop, keep moving forward, we can go slowly, but if we keep moving we will achieve the destination!

I changed App Store screenshot design and it brought more 69.87% downloads daily
