Title: First time going to Malaysia for one month before returning to China with X1 visa – Need advice

Hello everyone,

I am a student currently in China. My current Chinese visa expires on 15 July 2026, and I am planning to stay in Malaysia for about one month while waiting for my Xi'an University Admission Notice and JW202 documents to be issued.

After receiving these documents, I plan to apply for a Chinese X1 student visa and return to China to continue my studies.

Since this will be my first time visiting Malaysia, I would appreciate advice on:

- Which area in Kuala Lumpur is best and affordable for a one-month stay?

- What is a realistic monthly budget for accommodation, food, and transportation?

- Has anyone applied for a Chinese X1 visa in Malaysia as a foreign student?

- Are there any common problems or things I should prepare in advance?
