Child of hoarder. I genuinely cant differentiate between whats trash and not. I dont wanna become like them. I am not them. Please help.

Is there any rule of thumb or way you know what has to be thrown?

How do i know if a food has to be thrown away?

What about papers? Do they have to be used??? Newspapers? Half used books? I have tons of them and my parents say i could use em one day.

Copies of stuff? Multiple toothbrushes? Random bags that are fully functional and no one uses? Tons of clothes? Pacifiers? Im 15 and my lil bro is 12 NO ONE USED THAT💀💀 but i feel guilty cause they hold memories for my parents?

Random makeup i received that i never use ps i have No one to give my stuff to. They wont let me!

15 year old unopened towel set? Coins turned green from rust!?

Old toys No one plays with!?

(I am NOT RANTING I GENUINELY DONT KNOW WHAT IS TRASH.)

I would love to donate SO much to charity but my parents are horribly attached. This is a bottomless pit. Forget about charity what about the rest? Any ideas?!
