One thing I've grown to hate throughout the years is one game getting praise just to shit on another game.

It's common with many franchise mainly the annual releasing ones like Pokémon or call of duty or games that have done controversial changes and people suggesting options to jump ship.

The most well known example to me is Pallworld do you know how often I see people praise this game and yet the only thing they say is "it's better than Pokémon" congrats you think that way give me a reason to agree with you. The fact that this game has gotten so much praise yet the majority of talk around it is just "Play this over Nintendo slop" is really annoying to me. You want me to praise something? GIVE ME A REASSON TO PRAISE IT.

Another example every racing game after mario kart world's release. How often were kirby air riders praised as actual games and not as excuses to hate mario kart world.

I am not saying you shouldn't like Pallworld or kirby air riders or Digimon times stranger but when you praise them give me reassons to actually be interested into playing it just saying "It's better than x" doesn't make me care about that product.
