Are B2B customers moving back from AI hype to proven SaaS tools?

We're starting to see larger B2B customers come back to us after exploring newer AI-first tools that try to solve the same problem purely with AI.

It feels a bit like the old days before the AI rush: the focus is shifting back from hype to solutions that work and are here for the long run.

Another thing I've noticed is that evaluations are getting deeper again. Over the past few years, it often felt like teams would run through the tool, look for AI helpers, and move on. Now they are actually testing the parts they would need to manage manually and checking whether the product works for the real day-to-day use case.

The demos are also more thorough again. Deeper questions, practical scenarios, and less of the generic "what can AI do for us?" conversation.

Not going to lie, it feels good after years of "SaaS is dead" posts.
