few questions on laptop planning and modding along with specs (long thread)

currently im noting and questioning some stuff, im saving up for a proper laptop AND much better one

my questions:

1. can a laptop be SSD and HDD? both internal, i took out both from my old laptop and have them stored currently, i am hoping i can reinstall them on the new laptop

2. dedicated gpu or integrated gpu, im aware its up to the customer and allat, but honestly im focused on gaming and work, i do understand these can come as expensive? i plan on heavy and light games however

3. can i roll with DDR4 or should i move to DDR5, aswell as about what are specifically SODIMM and DIMM, i know these are ram types but if possibly i want that answered too. DDR4 i have stored aswell (12gb)

4. if i ever mod said laptop, do i need to wipe drive, format and so? whenever my old laptop was modded at the workshop that happened, ive seen a lot of youtubers ignore that step or its done offcamera, worried if i lose a lot of stuff on format and so altho theres the backup folder

16gb-24gb ram

1tb or higher SSD or HDD (like i said hopefully combined)

an AMD processor (if possible please help here for which amd processor to go for)

im still wondering about the dedicated card
