How do you write action scenes that are actually easy to visualise?

Discussion

Whenever I'm reading an action scene, if I can't visualise what's happening, even vaguely, I just get bored. I don't need to see every single movement perfectly, but I should at least be able to imagine what's going on. Otherwise it just feels like random attacks being thrown around.

I'm asking because I don't think I'm there yet with my own writing.

I've read articles and watched videos, but they all say the same things. Keep it short. Keep it fast. Focus on emotions. I already know all that, but I still don't really understand how people write action scenes that are actually easy to picture.

So how do you guys do it? Is there something you keep in mind while writing? Do you imagine the whole fight first? Or did it just come with practice?

I'd appreciate any advice because this is one thing I've been struggling with for a while.
