Would the first batch of MSc Biotechnology at Central University of Punjab be worth it?

I am in waiting list at position 10 for general for MSc biotechnology at central university of Punjab. This year they are starting the course MSc biotechnology, so ours batch would be the first one. But CUPB already have related courses such as Biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Microbiology, Human genetics etc established in the university and the university have a good research culture for life science.

Other universities I have applied to are CURAJ, in which I am at position 31, so it's most probably not possible for me there. I have also appeared for MSc biotechnology entrance at Kurukshetra University.

Someone please help me figure it out, I have no one to guide me in the field of science higher studies
