MA-010 — Memoria Archive Record Standard
Status: Active Standard
Purpose
MA-010 establishes the structure and principles used by the Memoria archive when documenting Final Fantasy TCG print history, print variants, population research, and related archival records.
Unless superseded by a later archive standard, this document governs all subsequent MA archive records.
Archive Principles
Each archive record documents a single subject.
Unless the subject requires otherwise, archive records will ordinarily contain:
Archive ID
Status
Summary
Supporting evidence
Archive classification
Relevant print identifiers
Population impact (where applicable)
Date archived
Each archive record is intended to serve as a permanent reference that may be cited independently.
Archive Status
Archive records may carry one of the following statuses:
• Documented Example
An archive record documenting a verified print characteristic, label example, or historical observation.
• Confirmed
Available evidence supports the archive classification presented within the record.
• Under Review
Evidence is currently being evaluated and the archive classification may be amended if warranted.
• Superseded
A subsequent archive record supersedes part or all of an earlier archive record while preserving the historical record.
Archive Classification
Memoria archive classifications reflect documented print characteristics observed within the archived material.
Where grading company labels differ from archive classifications, both may be recorded to preserve the historical record.
Archive classifications do not alter third-party labels.
Historical Preservation
Archive records are intended to preserve historical documentation.
Records are not deleted solely because new information becomes available.
Where necessary, later records supersede or expand upon earlier research while preserving the original record.
Numbering
Archive records are assigned sequentially.
Each archive ID represents one permanent archive record.
The next archive record issued under this standard will be MA-011.
Archive Development
The archive will continue to expand as additional documented material becomes available.
Earlier index threads remain preserved as part of Memoria’s historical record.
This document establishes the archival framework under which all future Memoria archive records are maintained.
The archive evolves.
The evidence remains.
