MMA stars predict the outcome of the Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway fight.
UFC 329 will take place in Las Vegas on the night of July 11th–12th, headlined by a fight between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway. For the Irishman, this is his return to the octagon after a five-year hiatus, and he'll face a familiar opponent. Conor and Max first met back in the summer of 2013, with McGregor winning by unanimous decision. Currently, the Irishman is considered an underdog by bookmakers, but some prominent figures in mixed martial arts don't see it that way.
✍️ "I think Max has a slight advantage, but that doesn't mean he's immune to a knockout. If that happens, there's no shame in it, because Conor is a world-class striker, he has the experience and technical arsenal necessary to win," Jose Aldo told MMA Mania .
✍️ "When Conor is in shape, he's absolutely incredible. The thing is, his power hasn't gone away. He needs one good punch to win. I think Conor will win by knockout in the first round. Max is a dangerous fighter, but he's probably underestimating the man he's facing," – Tom Aspinall for SherDog .
McGregor's last fight was in 2021, when he broke his leg in the first round against Dustin Poirier. His last fight was in March of this year, when he lost a unanimous decision to Charles Oliveira.
