Finally got a Gen1 dish

Thanks to a member here whose identity I will protect, I am now the happy owner of a Gen1 dish. I was speechless when I learned it came in its original -- much more impressive than the G3's thank-you-verymuch cardboard -- and gigantic box. When I got it, I immediately fired it up using my G3 router for reasons, and activated it in roaming 100 mode. I timed so that was done within 2 days of the end of my billing cycle, after which it switched to standby mode. Managed to also do a few upgrades.

I will play around with it later -- there are some tests and measurements I want to do -- but realistically I am treating this as collectible item: it has faced the weather for long enough; let the G3 do that as it is replaceable.
