Today I learned that Singapore has local IB schools.

Career, Job, Edu Qn in SG

I’m a foreigner currently searching for an IB school for my son. We expect he will start and complete his IBDP in Singapore after finishing his MYP in our home country. While researching, I was surprised to find that ACS(I) and SJI are local schools in Singapore. From my limited experience, IB schools are usually international schools. I’m curious about the pros and cons of continuing his IBDP at local schools like ACS(I) or SJI compared to international schools such as UWCSEA, Tanglin Trust, CIS, ACS International, or SJI International. What caught my attention about ACS(I) and SJI is that their average IB scores are far above the international average, and they’ve achieved these results with large cohort sizes. For what it’s worth, I’m willing to pay the international student fee (non-ASEAN) at the local schools.
