Texting advice

So I’m not sure if this subreddit is for this, but I got this girls number last night at my job, type of girl that makes you fall in love at first sight LMAO so I really wanted to NOT say the wrong thing so early, so I texted her after work, she complimented me I complimented her, seems like she was interested, then she says “You don’t look from here, how long have have you lived in X City” and I’m very sarcastic, so I texted back “Do I look alien *laughing emoji* what makes you say I’m not from here?” It was a joke (maybe a bad corny one idk 😂) and then I asked the question genuinely out of curiosity, I been on delivered for 12 hours now LMAO, tell me if that joke just fucked it up or my grown ass is simply overthinking.
