Options for vet min

Lakers appear to be focused on the wing/forward market and will carve out additional cap space to acquire a starter, whether it’s Kuminga or someone else. That is most important.

However, many have already forgotten the Mavs signed Derrick Jones, Jr in August 2023 to a vet min contract and by June 2024 he was starting NBA Finals games. That’s an extreme example of a home run minimum signing, but the point is the Lakers need a win on the margins badly with so few assets to improve the team going forward.

So which players do you like for any remaining vet min spots?

Zaire Williams seems most likely, given Dan Woike confirming Lakers interest in him right before free agency began. I’ve also seen Ochai Agbaji’s name mentioned.
