opossum in my mom's house. cat's don't care

i went over to feed the cats (mom just died, need to care of sh*t)

i open the side door at 1am and a teenager opossum stares to me with devil eyes and hisses

it all happened in one second. i screamed 'ahhh f*ck is that' and it hissed at me and ran up the stairs, and i couldn't find it

to top it off, it's eating all the cat food and drinking all the water we put out

also, the cats don't seem to care about our new resident

TLDR: there is a possum living in my moms house and i cannot find it and it's eating all the cat food
