Left stick issue

I have no idea why this is happening and am wondering if anyone has a clue what's going on.

I haven't dropped my deck, but I have had the OLED for nearly 2 years now. When I click the left stick, it does nothing, nothing at all. The input isn't registered.

HOWEVER

Pressing the steam button or the quick access menu button and exiting those side menus registers as a left stick click.

It sounds ridiculous, but that's exactly what happens. When the stick is clicked it does nothing, but when the steam or quick access menus get opened or closed it opens the menu as expected and it also registers in game as a left stick click.

I've restarted my deck, gone in and out of desktop mode etc, and have no idea why this is happening
