Sat by a river for three hours and did nothing. highly recommend.

Recreation

Don't know why it's so hard to just... stop. like my brain is always going - what's next, what am I forgetting, did i reply to that email. exhausting tbh

Went up to the ausable river this past weekend. Found the campground on camp happy grounds when I was desperate to get outside before summer slips away. nothing fancy, just grabbed my chair and walked down to the water

and I just sat there. three hours. Watched the light change through the pines, listened to the water move over rocks. a couple kayakers went by and waved. That was the extent of human interaction

Something about moving water quiets my head in a way nothing else does. Didn't solve any life problems but i also didn't think about them for a while and honestly that's close enough

already trying to figure out when i can sneak back up there before fall hits
