Used (but only 267mi) vs New EV9, which is the better buy?
In I'm cross-shopping two 2026 EV9 Wind AWDs and I'm looking for a gut check.
| "Used" | New (0% promo APR) | |
|---|---|---|
| Mileage | 267 | 23 |
| Balance (OTD financed) | $48,795 | $62,279 |
| APR available | 4.59% (my bank) | 0% (dealer promo, 60mo) |
The new one is in Virginia, the used on is in North Carolina.
Basically the same car, 267 miles apart, for a $13.5K difference before financing costs. The used one isn't Kia Certified but has a clean Carfax.
My main hesitation: no CPO inspection, so I'm trusting the dealer's word that nothing's wrong. Battery/EV system warranty supposedly transfers in full either way (10yr/100k), it's only the traditional powertrain warranty that drops to 5yr/60k for second owners (I think?), and that mostly doesn't apply to EV drivetrain components anyway. Can anyone confirm that matches their real-world experience, especially with Kia Connect/app showing correct warranty status after a private-lot resale like this?
Anything else I should be pushing this dealer for before buying non-CPO?
Sounds like its too good to be true, but I'm ready to but one this week.
Thanks in advance
