Should I watch winx?

I didn’t watch winx growing up but I’ve been watching a lot of video essays on the newer 3D reboot + fate: winx saga. I watched fate bc it was pedaled to me as a way to get into a show I was curious about but with a bit of a grittier edge to it (love me a fantasy academia storyline) but it was really boring and kind of cringe imo 🧍. I don’t look down on kids shows, I rewatch My Little Pony like once a year and the fashion-doll TV shows like Monster High and Ever After High are like crack to me as a designer. I’m just cautious of the possibility that many shows like that are enjoyed through a lens of nostalgia now that I’m older. Part of me wants to watch the source material for all these reboots coming out so that I can better understand the criticisms, but another part of me is worried that the show would be a slog to sit through if I hadn’t become attached to the characters as an child.

Also, is there a specific dub that’s considered better by the fandom if I do start it?
