Is it a bad time for me to visit?

I’m from NY, and I seriously hate summers/heat. I was looking for US trip destinations in the summer to escape the heat, and the PNW came up frequently. Looked up the forecasts and it looked a lot better than the heat and humidity here, so I pulled the trigger on a short trip to OR. I was originally supposed to be visiting late-June, but things came up and I rescheduled my flights and hotel (both flexible) for mid July (17-21). However, I’m looking up the weather predictions again and I’m kinda second guessing the trip. It looks like it’s going to be pretty hot, and I just found out the waterfalls aren’t as amazing in the summer.

Portland seems absolutely amazing, and I’m really excited to visit but I’m low-key dreading that the trip won’t be the best due to the weather. The whole idea was to avoid the heat and explore some place a little cooler, but since I had to push the dates, is it still worth going now, or should I reschedule to sometime in the Fall?
