What could I make as a gift for a friends birthday?

My friend is having his 20th birthday in a couple weeks and I want to crochet him something he'd be excited about.

He likes climbing, plays Pokemon go and Minecraft. And he lives with his girlfriend.

I thought about crocheting his favorite pokemon, but it would be too difficult. Then I also thought about crocheting his Minecraft skin to a plushie, but I don't know.
