undermind.ai for literature searches

Tips & Tricks

I just gave undermind.ai a try. It's optimized for literature searches. It found 64 hits relevant to QTD theories, about half of which I've never seen before. I expect that at least a few of those will be valuable, but now of course I have to go read them all. :-( It also missed some of the papers I already do know.

I'm using the free tier. It seems OK.

HINT: When registering, don't give a gmail.com address. It won't take it. You need something that looks like an institutional or commercial address.

The top-ranked paper was Chiba & Kinoshita, "Note on the Time Dilation of Charged Quantum Clocks". It's highly relevant as it purports to prove that no electromagnetic effect can alter the clock rate of a system of particles. However, Claude Fable 5 pointed out that this is circular reasoning because they assume from the beginning that clock variables do not interact with $A_\mu$:

In this equation, the clock variables $P$ and $H$ are completely decoupled from $q$ and $A_\mu$, which is exactly what EM time dilation theories claim is NOT true. So this paper can be viewed as giving a crisp statement of the null hypothesis. Experiment is the only discriminator.
