Weird tames name behaviour. PS5

For some reason when I’m looking at my tames, they are just called, Raptor, Raptor, doedicurus, etc. (only recently started this) but when I’m not near them the hud blue symbol shows the name I’ve called them correctly. Smashy, Toothy etc.

Any ideas what’s going on?

Thanks
