Howdy all - I built a thing to fix my own problem: I kept saving Reddit threads, YouTube videos, and Instagram posts and then never finding any of them again. My saved folder was a graveyard. So I made Squirrel It — you share a link to it from any app, it reads the whole thing (thread, transcript, article), writes a summary, tags it, and later you can ask questions like "what was that video about squeaky floorboards" and it answers with the source.

Figured other people had the same problem, so I put it up free and ran some small ads. The numbers are a bit devastating: About 1,350 real visitors. 27 signed up. Half of those never clicked the confirmation email. Three people have saved a link.

I've spent the last week fixing what I could find: page was slow, signup had friction, but at this point I'm too close to it. Something is making people leave and I genuinely can't see what.

If you've got a minute: squirrelit.app. What I'd love in the comments is the exact moment you checked out. First sentence that confused you, the point you thought "why would I need this," whatever it was. Don't be polite about it.

Free, no card. Works best on Android since the share-sheet saving is part of the one click friction reduction, but it works on iOS and desktop using the fast squirrel button to auto-paste a link. I'll reply to everyone.

Thanks!

1,350 visitors, 27 signups, 3 people actually using it. Where am I losing everyone?
