Insect poop as fertilizer?

Help

Hello r/houseplants community.
I recently had an idea, but am not sure if its a good one. I keep an ackie monitor lizard as a pet and his diet mostly consists of desert locusts.
So the locusts produce quite a lot of waste and I have just been throwing that away. As a houseplant enthusiast i am asking myself now, if i could use it as fertilizer for my green roommates.
I just recently came across an article about a swiss study that found insect poop to have good nutritional values for plants. Maybe someone here knows if i could use the desert locust poop as fertilizer or not?
