I can't justify the price of a babycook

I've convinced myself that I need a babycook our baby will be starting solids before we know it and the idea of making homemade baby food instead of constantly buying jars. It seems so convenient to have one machine that steams, blends and does everything in one place. I've been checking it for weeks now, hoping it'll finally go on a really good sale but every time I look the deals barely feel like deals. It feels like they knock a little off the price and call it a day, part of me keeps thinking it'll save us money in the long run if we're making our own baby food. The other part wonders if it's one of those baby products everyone swears by before the baby arrives and then it ends up sitting in the cabinet after a couple of months. I'm trying to decide if I should keep waiting for a better deal or stop obsessing over it altogether.
