Do you link notes with Microsoft To Do?

Hey guys.. I'm trying to make Microsoft To Do my main task manager but not sure about the best way to keep related files together.

For example.. if i have an assignment i'm working on in wps office, do you just paste the file link into the task or is there a cleaner workflow? Curious how everyone else handles this.
