My job ghosted me :/

So yeah I’ve been working there for about 2 1/2 months and yesterday I woke up feeling awful, I was the only one who was going to be there to open the store and it was too late for me to call out. I went in wore gloves and a mask and opened and waited for my manager to come in. When she came in I told her I don’t feel well but could stay until the next barista gets there and she immediately gets pissed at me telling me I’m just making an excuse to go home, I said no i genuinely don’t feel good I’m actually going to go to a walk in I can send you a doctors note and she said don’t bother just go if you’re sick.

I go to the walk in, and my hunch was right I have strep throat. I know she didn’t tell me to send the doctors note but I did and actually sent the test results too to show her I wasn’t making it up… that was yesterday and I haven’t heard anything since I even sent a text this morning just trying to confirm she saw the doctors note they said I shouldn’t work for 24 hours but still no answer. I’m scheduled tmr but honestly this whole situation has kinda turned me off to this job. This was supposed to be a summer job while I’m waiting for college to start again since I have a job on campus during the school year but she didn’t listen to me when I said I only want 20 hours and is scheduling me for 35 hours and I brought it up multiple times since I’m also doing a musical rn and I haven’t had a day to just take a moment since before the start of last semester.

Idk what to do but I’m thinking this is just not working out and obviously it seems like the manager is pissed and like I said has not responded to me when I was supposed to be in for 10 am today .. I’m a barista and work with food and beverages you would think she’d want me to go if I wasn’t feeling good…
