Hey everyone,

I'm having a frustrating issue with a Mazak VTC-800/30SLR vertical mill dropping into a hard Emergency Stop exclusively during the hottest hours of the afternoon.

The Symptoms:

The machine runs beautifully in the morning.

Once midday hits and the ambient room temperature spikes up past 29°C, the machine faults out.

The main alarm triggered is a 55 REMOTE I/O ERROR (System hardware/software error, ARGM 1: &00000001).

What I've Checked / Diagnosed So Far:

Thermal Compensation Page: The Ambient Temp (orange line) shoots straight up past 29°C, creating a massive gap with the coolant/chiller temp (yellow line) which stays around 24.6°C.

Spindle Chiller: The external Kwangrim CIL1301A oil cooler is running actively at around 24.6°C and isn't throwing any error codes on its Nanocon panel.

It feels like a communication module or a 24V power supply in the electrical cabinet is overheating and locking up, causing the main CPU to lose track of an I/O block and panic.

Has anyone dealt with this specific Remote I/O fault related to ambient shop heat on a Mazak? Is there a specific network block or power supply prone to overheating that I should look at, or any parameter tweaks to handle the midday thermal gap better?

Appreciate any troubleshooting tips or advice!
