Modern/unique flatware recommendations?

Just putting together my wedding registry and I'd like to register for a good set of flatware. Just looking for something that's well made (at least won't bend and chip ...some of my friend's black flatware looks really rather awful and chipped given how they were supposed to be 'high quality') and can actually last.

I've looked through some of old threads here already and checked out Liberty and Oneida, but their stuff either looks a bit too much or too plain, with a lot of focus just on the handle. I'm hoping for something that has a more interesting shape design overall.

Does anyone have any other brands they've had a good experience with? Or any brands I should avoid these days?
