How much do ordinary people in 2077 actually know about the past?

Hi, I'm currently writing a summary for some of my friends that wanted to play in the 2077 setting.

Not everyone has ever read something cyberpunk related or played the videogames!

So I wrote down something on the lore,slang etc etc... then when I was writing down some info about the legends of NightCity (Morgan BlackHand, Bartmoss,Alt etc..)

A thought crossed my mind... does an ordinary person really know about those things?

For example the fact that Rogue was the ex-girlfriend of Johnny?

The fact that Bartmoss sent that message to his lover Spider Murphy?

That Spider Murphy she had regretted joining Bartmoss for the DataKrash

And most of all...do the people know about the SoulKiller? that Alt was kidnapped in 2013 and the whole mess that followed?

how much do I need to tell my players?
