Free-to-play "Mario Kart Tour" will end its online services on September 29th, 2026 on iOS and Android, which will lead to a delisting as no offline version is planned
Nintendo announced yesterday that the F2P Mario Kart Tour (released on September 25th, 2019) for iOS and Android will end its online services on September 29th, 2026.
Unlike what happened with the mobile version of Animal Crossing, no offline version is planned to replace the F2P version. This very strongly indicates that the F2P game will become unusable and thus will be delisted on September 29th, 2026.
In-game currency of Rubies and suscribing to the Gold Pass cannot be acquired or extended anymore. It was also communicated that "Beginning with the start of the Vacation Tour at 11:00 p.m. PT on August 4, 2026, until 10:59 p.m. PT on September 29, 2026, you can enjoy Mario Kart Tour Gold Pass benefits, minus continuous-subscription benefits, for free."
For Nintendo Switch 1 or 2 owners, do note; most Mario Kart Tour racing courses were ported over to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for the Switch with some major improvements. This was done as part of the Booster Course Pass DLC. This DLC is freely accessible for Switch Online subscribers, but can also be acquired for €24,99.
